    To make a local call you must dial the local area code.  For example 1-252-987-2654. 

Backup Phone

  If internet connectivity is lost or there is a power outage, there is an backup phone located in the drawer under the TV in the living room.  It will work as long as Sprint wired phone service is operating to the house.  It has the capability to dial local and E911.
